As Dractan says, the Enormous Mithril Juggernaut is a burrowing ship, a gigantic sort of landgoing submarine with a drill bit on the nose. It doesn't travel by sea, though it can crawl along the bottom. Inside it live a wandering clan of craftsdwarves, merchants of all sorts. They tend to come up for ale, and to sell their items, every few months. The place they arrive is very difficult to predict. *You* try navigating without windows ;)
Merchant Tips:
-Look for a sign in the room. If there is one, read it.
-If there are tables, racks, chests or other containers in the
room, look on/in them. It's likely that you'll see items for
sale. GET
-If it's a "live" merchant, a GM-Run character performing some sort of service, don't whisper to him or her until and unless it is your turn. The screen scroll for GM's during merchant events has to be seen to be believed ;) There's lots of blurring involved.
-If a merchant offering a service tells you he can't do what it is you asked for, this really doesn't mean "Keep asking me until I eventually break down and agree.. Never mind the 38 folks in line behind you" ;) All our merchant types, from alterers to weaponsmiths, have strict guidelines they follow.
-For live merchants, there's usually a list. To join it, JOIN
-Don't panic, have fun :) For big merchant events, like the Juggernaut and similar sites, we tend to stay for a while. These events typically last two or more days. The table merchants, the ones selling stuff off the rack/ table, will usually be open for many hours. The live merchants, those offering services, will *not* all show up in the first few hours. They're staggered over the life of the event. In other words, we may open at noon with 3 live merchants (and a bunch of table merchants), and have another live merchant or two wander in every few hours for a day or so.
